The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Scheduler to join Austal Ships.
Reporting to the Planning Manager this position is responsible for constructing and baselining project schedules aligning resource profiles and measuring performance. The Scheduler ensures schedule accuracy and ongoing maintenance in accordance with Austals planning standards making sure schedules and reports are defensible and help projects achieve their contractual objectives.
Whats involved
- Creation of schedules in accordance with program needs.
- Update and maintain schedules and baselines.
- Provide reporting and analysis of schedule performance to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with various teams across the project to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Create resource profiles and forecasts for both current projects and potential future projects.
Youll need
Essential
- 2 years of experience in a scheduling role in Shipbuilding/Defence (preferred) or similar industry.
- Fully literate in Primavera P6 with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills.
Desirable
- Familiarity with ship structure and terminology.
- Basic competency in AutoCAD.
- Leadership skills.
