Job Description
Sikla UK is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our team in Belfast Northern Ireland.
- Receiving and processing incoming orders
- Picking and packing orders
- Loading and unloading goods
- Checking the accuracy of deliveries to customers (domestic export industrial projects)
- Reporting mistakes inaccuracies and discrepancies immediately
- Inspecting and maintaining warehouse equipment
- Ensuring all stock is located in the correct place
- Working with tight timescales and given deadlines
- Maintaining a high level of health & safety standards (clean and safe working environment)
- Prefabricating and cutting Sikla steel components according to drawings
- Cleaning tools and tidying up the warehouse
- Following instructions and designated procedures (warehouse Route Card)
- Assisting with the daily logistics
- Helping to minimise errors in picking packing and loading
- Using the ERP System for small standard processes in the warehouse
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment (preferred)
- DIY Skills
- Good metrics and numerical understanding
- Ability to understand and follow procedures and instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements
- Ability to work independently under pressure and to tight timescales
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexibility multitasking and willingness to learn
- Good level of English language (reading writing and speaking)
- Right to work in the UK
- Forklift/Combilift Licences (preferential)
- Driver Licences (preferential)
- Working hours:
-Monday to Thursday from 7.45 AM to 4.45 PM
-Friday from 7.45 AM to 2.45 PM - 25 days annual leave ( bank holidays)
- Onsite free refreshments and regular staff lunches
- A friendly and supportive working environment
- Initial 3 Months Contract
