Job Title:Band 7 Occupational Therapist
Grade:Band 7
Location:Prescot Merseyside
Working Hours:37.5 hours per week
Rate:Competitive details to be discussed upon application
We are seeking a highly motivated and experiencedBand 7 Occupational Therapistto join our NHS client in Prescot Merseyside. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical expertise in the assessment and treatment of patients with complex physical cognitive or mental health needs.
- Lead and coordinate occupational therapy services within a multidisciplinary team.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to promote independence and improve quality of life.
- Supervise and support junior staff students and assistants.
- Contribute to service development audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with professional standards policies and relevant legislation.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc (Hons) or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Substantial post-qualification experience including in a senior or specialist role
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills
- Strong clinical reasoning communication and organisational abilities
- Experience in service development and multidisciplinary collaboration
