Position Description:
This is an exciting time for CGI and we want you to be part of it. We are Canadas largest independent information technology services firm and we are still growing! We are expanding in Atlantic Canada and we need your skills enthusiasm and dedication as part of our team.
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Steward to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for Promoting Data Governance Standards.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Promoting Data Governance Standards: Advocate and socialize global data governance standards and the global data model across teams.
Consumer Support: Understand the data asset architecture and guide consumers on locating and accessing high-quality data.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Partner with business stakeholders and master data management specialists to define data management and consolidation rules.
ETL Expertise: Map data flows to and from the asset acting as an expert in Extraction Transformation and Load (ETL) processes across diverse data sources and consumers.
Data Access and Auditing: Provision access to global datasets within the asset and perform periodic audits to refine permissions based on evolving business requirements.
Programming and Querying skills: SQL (Expert) and Python (Beginner-Intermediate)
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
More than 10 years of experience in data governance data management and data architecture space
Experience in handling data access management and auditing
Excellent customer and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical skills
Strong SQL expertise Oracle Postgres
Strong ETL knowledge
Experience in AWS
Experience in CI/CD
Nice to have
Java
