The Division of Rehabilitation Services is seeking to hire an energetic and detail-oriented Business Services and Procurement Manager to oversee the operation of the Business Services/Communication Unit for the Disability Determination Services (DDS). This position directs and monitors the telecommunication operations for DDS and serves as Procurement Manager. The administrator serves as a working supervisor. The incumbent will also serve as a liaison with building management concerning problems such as space needs and daily occupants. The administrator will direct and monitor contracts and assist in the writing of documents for medical consultants contractual employees and service vendors yearly contracts.
Serves as Business Services and Procurement Manager.
Directs and monitors the telecommunication operations for the DDS.
Serves as Procurement Manager for DDS.
Serves as a working supervisor.
Serves as a liaison with building management concerning problems of daily occupancy space needs etc.
Directs and monitors contracts and assists in the writing of documents for medical consultants contractual employees and service vendors yearly contracts.
Directs and coordinates physical plant renovations after conferring with administrator and providing justifications to CMS and SSA.
Provides oversight and assists in the employee identification operations for DDS utilizing the Velocity Software system.
Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties as enumerated above.
Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college.
Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or private organization.
Of the three (3) years progressively responsible experience requires three (3) years of experience in administering/managing a State or Federal Procurement Business System which must include experience accepting bids from third parties ensuring contracts are fulfilled the writing of contracts the procurement process for IFBs RFPs the creation of Procurement Business Cases (PBC) and Contract Adjustment and Approval Forms (CAAFs).
Three (3) years of professional experience in administering managing a State or Federal Procurement Business System which must include experience accepting bids from third parties ensuring contracts are fulfilled the writing of contracts the procurement process for IFBs RFPs the creation of Procurement Business Cases (PBC) and Contract Adjustment and Approval Forms (CAAFs).
Three (3) years of professional supervisory experience assigning work providing guidance to subordinates recommending counseling and/or discipline following collective bargaining agreements training staff preparing and signing performance evaluations and approving time off.
Three (3) year of professional experience providing recommendation for procurement and/or contracts for purchases related to space equipment supplies and/or services for a public or private organization.
Three (3) years of professional experience meeting deadlines with strong attention to detail and the ability to utilize critical thinking skills while multi-tasking multiple projects.
Three (3) years of professional experience in oral and written communication including documents for medical consultants contractual employees and service vendors yearly contracts.
Three (3) years of professional experience directing and monitoring telecommunication operations including overseeing telecommunication equipment needs and utilization rates analyzing billing and inspecting for policy and audit compliance.
Requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Requires the ability to push carts carrying up to 400 lbs.
Requires the ability to operate a pallet jack.
Requires the ability to travel.
Requires ability to pass a federal employment background check. Individuals selected for positions with the Illinois Disability Determination Service (DDS) must go through a complete federal background investigation suitability determination by the Social Security Administration. Those individuals meeting the state requirements for employment must first complete the federal background investigation prior to their start date. This is necessary to determine whether an employee can be issued credentials in order to have access to the Social Security Disability data records and systems. Further details will be provided during the pre-employment background check process.
