What you bring to SBHG (Qualifications):
Education and Experience
- Proven track record in an executive leadership role.
- Previous board experience preferred.
- Knowledge of organization and the relevant industry preferred.
- Previous track record in a government contracting business preferred.
- Specialized experience and expertise preferred in areas including:
- executive management in medium to large organizations
- finance and accounting
- healthcare behavioral healthcare and other human services
- government contracting
- strategic planning and business development
- Sufficient time for board duties.
- Strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills.
- Personal Background (Criminal) and Credit Report within established guidelines.
How you will make a difference (Job Overview):
Individuals are appointed to membership on the governing boards Stars Behavioral Health Group Holding Company (SBHG) and each of its subsidiary corporations as Directors according to the bylaws of the organization and for a specified term of office. As members of the highest leadership body of the organization Directors help the board in satisfying its fiduciary duties determining the mission and purposes of the organization and supporting their fulfillment selecting and evaluating the performance of the Chief Executive Officer (as specified in the bylaws) overseeing strategic and organizational planning ensuring strong fiduciary oversight and financial management supporting growth and development approving and monitoring programs and services assuring quality of services including accreditation by The Joint Commission enhancing SBHGs public image assuring corporate compliance with Federal State County and local laws and regulations and assessing its own performance as the governing body of SBHG.
