Radiology/Interventional Radiology Permanent Role
- Location: Plano TX 75093
- Shift: 12 HR Day 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Guaranteed: 36 Hours
- Compensation: Based on experience.
Essential Job Functions: Perform high-quality Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures according to established protocols in a timely and efficient manner.
Utilize AIDET communication techniques with patients to:
- Verify identity
- Explain procedures
- Ensure comfort and cooperation
- Assess patient tolerance and instruct patients/families about upcoming procedures.
Prepare patients and procedural areas by:
- Properly positioning patients
- Setting up immobilization devices
- Adjusting radiographic equipment for optimal exposure
- Ensure radiation safety and infection control compliance.
- Use sterile technique during invasive procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and quality standards in the work area and equipment.
- Coordinate with engineers and physicists to optimize equipment functionality and report any issues.
- Maintain supply inventory and perform required departmental screenings for safety.

- Strong communication skills to explain procedures and put patients at ease.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure including during emergencies.
- Demonstrates professionalism efficiency and patient-centered service.
- Capable of using first aid/emergency carts when needed.
- Maintains patient satisfaction by minimizing wait times and delivering courteous service.
- Takes initiative to review feedback and implement action plans for improvement.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Required:
Must obtain within 2 years of hire (if not already certified):

ARRT-CI (Cardiac Interventional Radiography)

ARRT-VI (Interventional Radiography)

ARRT-CV (Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography).
