An established construction firm with a strong legacy of delivering impactful infrastructure projects is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to support the design and execution of large-scale solar energy systems. The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer with at least 5 years of experience including 2 years focused on PV array pile foundation design and a deep understanding of geotechnical analysis and solar project delivery.
What Youll Do:
- Design foundations roadways and structural systems for utility-scale PV and BESS projects.
- Analyze geotechnical data review technical reports and recommend additional testing as needed.
- Perform driven steel pile foundation designs and develop associated design tools.
- Specify and evaluate pile test programs for structural design support.
- Review third-party designs to optimize value and reduce risk.
- Conduct lateral and axial pile analysis and contribute to cost estimating.
- Evaluate plans and specifications for constructability and budget alignment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and engage with clients to deliver tailored solutions.
Experience Youll Need:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience including 2 years in PV pile foundation design.
- Proficient in LPile Allpile or similar geotechnical design software.
- Strong understanding of ASCE 7 IBC AISC 360 and ASTM standards; familiarity with AISI S100 ACI 318 UL 3703 and AASHTO Green Book is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
