Job Description

Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance C - Mechanical

Job Code: 24762

Job Location: Waco TX (Onsite)

Schedule: 4/10 2nd shift (Mon-Thur 4pm-2.30am)

Job Description:

The successful candidate will possess strong experienceon aircraft flightline operations. Relevant experience includes removal installation and troubleshooting aircraft systems such as flight controls power plants hydraulics fuel systems bleed air etc. in accordance with tech manuals or other written instructions. Additionally candidate will demonstrate a willingness to learn ability to comply with written policies procedures and other instructions and ability to achieve and maintain a security clearance through the US Government.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
  • Works from drawings blueprints sketches written procedures planned work orders technical work orders work cards and/or any other authorized reference material as required to complete assigned work.
  • Performs flightline operations aircraft inspections or repairs sometimes in confined spaces.
  • Uses company computer systems for work documentation and retrieval of production related documents.
  • Thorough understanding of aircraft drawings and maintenance manuals
  • In-depth knowledge of tools required to perform this job function
  • Great familiarity with general industry standards on quality expectations and ability to proficiently self-inspect completed work
  • In-depth knowledge of Flightline principals and techniques
  • Ability and willingness to train and mentor lower-level technicians
  • General knowledge of military aircraft FOD and Tool Control requirements
  • Ability to be certified to operate self-propelled vehicles such as forklifts scissor lifts boom lifts and aircraft tow vehicles. Requires flightline physical.
  • Must be able to moveheavy objects
  • Must be able to work overtime any shift and weekends as required to meet company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • May substitute 2 years of experience with completion of Airframe and Power plant schooling or A&P certificate
  • Minimum 6years experience with aircraft flight line operations.
  • Ability to pass a flightline physical.
  • Possess requisite basic tools prior to starting to work; tool list will be provided. Tools must be shadowed and engraved
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Airframe and Powerplant License is highly preferred (A&P License)
  • C-130H and C-130J Periodic Depot Maintenance (PDM) or modification experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently or within a group

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb ladders and work on elevated platforms on top of aircraft
  • Ability to work in confined spaces such as aircraft fuel tanks
