Leading architectural and engineering firm is adding a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to their San Francisco team!
Responsibilities:
- Calculating heating/cooling loads
- Select equipment
- Layout duct/piping
- Create/edit project details
- Write/edit project engineering specifications
- Responsible for plumbing systems design:
- Calculating capacities/loads
- Laying out piping systems/details
- Editing project specifications
- Define/guide project sustainability goals and deliver systems designs needed to achieve them
- Develop work plans
- Lead staff in delivering project designs according to budget
- Mentor/train junior staff
- Attend design review meetings/workshops
- Use technical expertise to resolve complex design challenges
- Research design options and document findings
- Assure drawings/designs meet local codes and design standards
- Coordinate project tasks with architectural/engineering disciplines as applicable
- Assist with business development
- Lead teams in multiple projects simultaneously
Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- 12 years of consulting engineering experience with emphasis on HVAC/plumbing design
- Experience working on a variety of HCAI/OSHPD projects for healthcare laboratory commercial municipal institutional and government facilities
- Experience in delivering projects with LEED Well Green Globes or similar sustainable certifications
- PE License
- Experience using Revit BIM Trane/Trace IES and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge in building controls preferred
Salary is commensurate with experience.
