Job Description
Can accept candidates from any Essex/London area - Bradley David Associates is working with a leading Commercial Facilities Maintenance business on the search for 2-3 Multi Skilled Engineers. They do not work on building sites most of the work is based on industrial estates prestigious buildings retail parks and office blocks.
The ideal candidates will have experience within at least 1 trade such as painting and decorating carpentry groundworks/civils high level works general handy works etc. and also have some knowledge of fire door regulations and compliance.
Our client would also welcome applicants from a service engineer but must be prepared to do works outside of mechanical and electrical services.
Job Summary:
- Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm onsite (must have a degree of flexibility)
- Weekend and overtime hours available
- Out of hours call-out rota
- 40000 - 55000 per year dependent on experience
- Bonus Scheme
- Must be happy to drive and work in the London M25 areas and South East of England (majority London but can include areas such as Dover and Brighton!)
- Van Fuel Card Phone Uniform provided
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of fire door compliance in accordance with relevant fire safety regulations.
- Assemble and securely install door frames hardware and related components.
- Ensure correct alignment and functionality of fire doors including rehanging when necessary.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to fire doors and associated hardware.
- Perform all duties confidently and competently within the expectations of the role.
- Work independently across various sites while maintaining a professional appearance and respectful attitude at all times.
- Complete tasks to a high standard keeping work areas clean and organized throughout the job.
- Take pride in all completed work quality is essential; shortcuts or substandard work are not acceptable.
- Document all work using the company-issued phone including photographs and client signatures upon completion.
- Prioritise safety at all times wear appropriate PPE and carry out dynamic risk assessments before starting any task.
- Willingly collect and operate company equipment and vehicles ensuring you are competent and responsible in their use.
- Stay up to date with and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain ethical working practices and show respect to colleagues clients tenants and other contractors.
- Respond positively to any reasonable request from a Manager or Director.

Requirements
Requirements and Experience:
- Previous experience within at least one trade
- Previous experience in commercial maintenance
- Personable and friendly
- Full driving license
- CSCS PASMA and IPAF training (not imperative)
- Length of service
- Carpentry
