We are seeking a Maintenance Technician with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset to support plant operations drive preventative maintenance and enhance equipment reliability. This role is vital to sustaining plant performance and aligning with our mission to identify prioritize and implement lasting improvements.
Champion and apply CI principles across maintenance activities in line with our mission and quality standards.
Lead and maintain the preventative maintenance (PM) program for the Turlock plant.
Support coverage for team member absences and vacations to reduce overtime.
Coordinate daily PM tasks and ensure department-wide compliance.
Manage parts inventory through the parts clerk to ensure availability of necessary components.
Develop and support training schedules for production team members assisting with technical training as needed.
Troubleshoot repair and upgrade plant equipment including systems dependent on electrical hydraulic pneumatic and mechanical components.
Perform diagnostics repairs and system improvements on specialized machinery (e.g. boilers air compressors refrigeration systems).
Operate equipment for diagnostics and production relief as needed.
Ensure all work is performed safely and professionally; promptly report safety concerns.
Order parts and materials as required for assigned tasks.
Maintain clean professional appearance and adhere to hygiene standards.
Maintain working knowledge of production processes and systems to perform effective maintenance.
Uphold GMP food safety and quality principles in all duties.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have at least 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician ideal with experience in food manufacturing environment.
High school diploma or GED.
Proficient in reading writing and speaking English (Spanish preferred).
Ability to read and interpret safety rules technical manuals and procedure documents.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret technical instructions.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.
Willingness to work hands-on with a variety of systems and equipment
Education
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
