Job Description
- Collaborate with classroom teachers EL specialists and other service providers.
- Provide training or consultation to staff and families to support carryover of skills.
- Provide therapy services in English and the student s native language when appropriate.
- Maintain clear and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Help identify appropriate assessment tools for culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Assess diagnose and treat speech language and communication disorders in bilingual and multilingual students.
Requirements
- Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
- Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (written and spoken skills required).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFs will be considered with appropriate supervision.
- Active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathology endorsement.
