The Trades II - HVAC position supports resort operations by performing HVAC tasks including projects preventive maintenance and work orders. As a Trades II - HVAC you will:
- Perform projects guest calls blitzes and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management.
- Execute daily tasks and assigned projects in HVAC systems supporting other trades as needed.
- Expertly troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on split units air handlers condensers ice machines refrigeration equipment for food and beverage appliances and exhaust fans.
- Install or replace HVAC components such as compressors coils refrigerant line sets and other key parts.
- Conduct routine inspections for safety mechanical integrity and quality assurance as directed by management.
- Read and interpret technical data and O&M manuals.
- Actively participate in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are available on-site.
- Effectively operate resort operations devices and software (HotSOS).
- Communicate professionally through radios phones emails and verbal communications.
- Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by resort leadership.
- Safely use hand tools power tools and battery-powered tools for HVAC work.
- Work using ladders scaffolds lifts dust masks and in confined or narrow spaces.
- Follow safety guidelines and practices.
- Identify and report potential hazards on the property.
- Communicate and interpret guest needs through positive interactions to ensure resolutions.
- Adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures.
- Always represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance attire and behavior.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance in a resort or commercial environment.
- HVAC technical certification or license required.
- Written and verbal communication in English is required.
- Valid drivers license required.
- Must regularly lift move push or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Must be detail-oriented with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to various tasks perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
- Must communicate effectively with supervisors and resort leadership.
