The Job Mission
This role drives the re-licensing strategy and post-construction legacy planning at HPC.
Youll lead stakeholder engagement DCO alignment and long-term site reinstatement.
Your future team will ensure regulatory readiness and strategic closure of land use.
Manage preparation and submission of the Nuclear Site Licence (NSL) re-licensing application
Liaise with ONR and client teams to align de-licensing operations and construction goals
Lead development of a restoration strategy across Main Site and Associated Developments
Chair Legacy Steering Group and manage delivery of reinstatement programme
Oversee technical and financial proposals for legacy asset treatment and reuse
Provide input to DCO Material Change 2 and other planning applications
Lead stakeholder engagement with communities local authorities and regulators
Support sustainability vision and ensure all legacy work meets legal and project standards
Qualifications :
Essential Skills
Degree in Mechanical Electrical Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline
8 years experience managing complex construction or regulated projects
Experience with stakeholder engagement NSL or regulatory application processes
Working knowledge of CDM Regulations and infrastructure planning frameworks
Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage cross-functional project delivery
Ability to influence decision-makers and manage regulators effectively
Strong organisational political sensitivity and risk management skills
Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Skills
Experience with DCO planning applications or legacy strategy development
Knowledge of legal regulatory and reinstatement planning in infrastructure projects
Proven negotiation experience with public authorities or statutory consultees
Experience working in matrix teams or large multidisciplinary project environments
Knowledge of French language is beneficial
