Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
Job Description:
The A&P Mechanic will perform operation inspection maintenance and repair of all systems on 757-200 aircraft including engine removal and installation. Work environment is in a fast paced time sensitive area working outside. Other duties will include administrative work relating to FAA part 125 operations and flying with the aircraft as an on board technician assisting with cabin duties related to safety.
** Position Requires being domiciled (within 1 hour response time) to Richmond International Airport in order to meet time sensitive schedule requirements and on-call responsibilities**
Essential Functions:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of FAA operational procedures and inspection requirements.
- Must possess outstanding troubleshooting and maintenance techniques on aircraft systems.
- Ability to obtain an airport clearance/security badge (FAA).
- Demonstrated ability to read speak and write English language.
- Ability to work with a wide range of technical reference material from commercial/OEM manuals to blueprints/engineering drawings.
- Position requires candidates to become CSC (Cabin Safety Crew/Flight Attendant) qualified.
- Willingness andability to work outside regularly scheduled hoursto meet company objectives.
- Willingness and ability to travel withshort notice travelling (CONUS and OCONUS)
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- Active Airframe and PowerplantLicense (A&P License)
- Active Secret security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
- Boeing Aircraft Maintenance experience.
- FAA Inspection Authorization certification (IA certification)
- Familiarization or experience with FAA FAR Part 91/121/125/135 preferred.
Physical and Location Requirements:
- Position will include lifting bending and climbing.
- Ability to move 75 pounds.
- Required to load and unload aircraft cargo.
- Position does require flight duties.
