About the Role
LIGHTWORKS is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead field execution on some of the most architecturally significant homes in San Diego. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can manage and inspire a team of journeyman electricians and apprentices while delivering projects with excellence safety and precision.
- Lead the Crew: Supervise train and support journeyman electricians and apprentices. Set clear expectations and uphold a culture of craftsmanship accountability and pride.
- Drive Project Execution: Ensure timely installation of electrical systems lighting control and smart infrastructure. Own the daily flow of jobsite operations.
- Quality Assurance: Enforce code compliance and project specifications. Perform inspections and resolve installation issues with efficiency and foresight.
- Site Coordination: Collaborate with general contractors designers and in-house integration teams. Be the go-to for all electrical field-related matters.
- Track Labor & Materials: Monitor labor hours manage inventory and assist with change orders to keep projects on budget.
- Mentorship & Growth: Train apprentices guide junior electricians and create a learning culture where everyone improves their skillset.
- California Certified Journeyman Electrician (Required)
- Minimum 5 years of residential electrical experience including at least 2 in a leadership or foreman capacity
- Deep familiarity with NEC code residential service upgrades panel builds lighting control preps and smart home electrical infrastructure
- Strong leadership skills with a calm problem-solving mindset
- Clear communication and the ability to manage people and timelines under pressure
- Familiarity with job tracking tools like Bluebeam iPoint or similar platforms (preferred)
