Job Description
Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Perianesthesia Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Perianesthesia team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
The Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse utilizing his/her skill and expertise to complement other health care providers.
The Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to work in all areas of Perianesthesia (Pre-op Phase I/PACU and Phase II/Discharge). Includes preparing patients for surgery (vital signs point of care testing skin preparation documentation in Epic etc.) assisting nurses during recovery (SCD machines ambulation assist with dressing etc.) and transporting patients post-operatively.

Work Schedule:
- 0.5 FTE D/E May include up to every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Required Qualifications:
- Certified Nursing Assistant and current on the State of Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
- All candidates must be current on the State of Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry or be an LPN student or a Jr. level nursing student which means completion of first quarter clinicals with an accredited RN or LPN program.
- BLS required
