Car Wash Cashier / Car Wash Attendant (Part-Time)

ESCONDIDO AUTO PARK EXPRESS WASH

The Carwash Cashier/ Attendants primary duties include assisting customers with their purchases from the Carwash Mini-Mart and Gas Station. Providing the customers with a positive and friendly experience as well as properly maneuvering customer vehicles through the Escondido Auto Park Express Wash ensuring vehicles are cleaned to company specifications standards and time allowances.

Employees in this position will be paid a base hourly rate of applicable minimum wage ($16.50/ Hr).

TheCarwash Cashier/Attendant position is part-time and includes weekends.

Responsibilities Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: (other duties may be assigned)

Carwash Cashier responsibilities:

• Provides a positive customer experience with fair friendly and courteous service.

• Registers sales on a cash register by scanning items itemizing and totaling customers purchases.

• Resolve customer issues and answers questions.

• Bags customer purchases if needed and processes return transactions.

• Itemizes and totals purchases by recording prices departments taxable and nontaxable items; and operating a cash register.

• Enters price changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletins.

• Redeem coupons for discounts on purchases.

• Collects payments by accepting cash check or charge payments from customers and makes change for cash customers.

• Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing and recording drivers license number; and operating credit card authorization systems.

• Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.

• Provides pricing information by answering questions.

• Ensures stock is sufficient and creates a positive shopping experience for the customers.

• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations.

CarwashAttendant responsibilities:

• Monitors functionality of car wash machinery and equipment.

• Properly maneuver customer vehicles through the Car Wash according to manufacturer specifications.

• Inspects vehicle for noticeable defects such as dents scratches torn upholstery.

• Restoring using appropriate materials.

• Applies special-purpose cleaner to remove foreign materials.

• Operates all tools in a safe manner by using proper eye hand & body protection.

• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.

• Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.

• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills

• Clean driving record.

• Accepts constructive criticism with motivation towards improvement on job performance.

• Understanding of Safety Rules & Practices as well as posted work rules & procedures.

• Ability to exercise good judgment.

• Valid CA drivers license and cleandriving record.
