Base Salary:

$55386.00

Calendar:

Certified Exempt 187 workdays

Benefits:

Performance Pay:

Available annually

New Hire Experience:

$500 for each full-time year of certified teaching or verified like experience

New Hire Education:

$65/hour of graduate level credits: BA 45 hours max MA 60 hours max $1000 for advanced degrees

Job Summary:

The Instructional Design Coach will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop exemplary learning experiences for students and adults. The Instructional Design Coach is responsible for determining appropriate approaches methods and tools for a highly engaging and rigorous learning experience and must have creative ideas on how to reach engage and retain students.

Candidates must complete anon-lineapplication which requires appropriate Arizona certification valid IVP Arizona fingerprint clearance card evidence of highly qualified status three letters of recommendation and transcript of credits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop technology-enabled learning experiences that are rich interactive and adaptive
  • Understand educational standards learning objectives and user requirements to incorporate them into learning experiences in deep and meaningful ways
  • Produce learning experiences and courseware material with subject matter experts and software developers
  • Create a coherent learning experience by identifying end goals and creating content activities and assessments that matches them
  • Apply best practices in instructional design to develop content to support learning objectives and goals for these learning experiences
  • Create supporting material/media (audio video simulations role plays games etc)
  • Create assessments for each learning experience to assess which learning goals are being met by the learner
  • Develop pathways within the learning experience to promote mastery of concepts
  • Provide rigorous quality assurance and testing of the learning experience
  • Use data to improve and refine learning experiences and courseware
  • Remain abreast of technology directions initiatives and trends within technology-enabled learning
  • Coach teacher regarding best practices in online teaching
  • Serve as the course manager for a selected set of online courses
  • Help prepare and facilitate professional learning for online teachers
  • Participate in district meeting and projects as needed
  • Provide customer support as needed
  • Assists with other assigned duties as appropriate to the area of assignment and Mesa Public Schools

Required Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position an applicant must meet the following required qualifications. Verification of these required qualifications is necessary.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree Education Instructional Design Educational Technology Curriculum Development or a related area
  • Masters degree (Preferred) in instructional design educational technology or similar relevant field
  • Current Arizona teaching certificate

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of teaching or training experience
  • Experience supporting educators trainers or teams in curriculum development effective pedagogy or technological adoption
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Experience in using analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in organization and taking initiative to meet project deadlines
