Overview
My client are seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will have 5 years experience and be responsible for designing developing and testing electrical systems with Commercial construction projects. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Responsibilities
- Designing electrical systems and equipment in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Developing and testing prototypes to assess performance and reliability.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
- Conducting feasibility studies and cost estimates for electrical projects.
- Troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues during the design and implementation phases.
- Ensuring that all designs meet safety and environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or ONC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in electrical design and development.
- Proficiency in using CAD software for electrical design.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes standards and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Day-to-day
- Collaborating with the M&E team to brainstorm new electrical design concepts.
- Utilising CAD software to create detailed electrical schematics and layouts.
- Testing and evaluating prototypes to identify and address any electrical issues.
- Communicating with suppliers to select appropriate electrical components.
- Participating in project meetings and providing technical expertise on electrical design aspects.
