Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Technician C to join our team. This team member is responsible for maintaining repairing and ensuring the proper functioning of tools and equipment used in production from day to day.
Essential Functions:
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on tools carts and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition
- Follow production casting schedules to prevent unexpected breakdowns and repairs that are needed on tooling
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with tools and equipment
- Repair or replace defective parts components or systems
- Use of basic maintenance hand tools which include but not limited to: Drills Drivers Wrenches Ratchets Thread Insert Repair Tape Measure Understand Measurements
- Maintain an inventory of tools parts and supplies needed to maintain and repair tooling for production usage
- Update reports through work order system and spreadsheets created by dept
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and procedures
- Conduct safety inspections and address any potential hazards to direct supervisor or SME
- Communicate and work closely with production engineering and quality control teams to ensure tools and equipment meet production requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting bending and standing for extended periods
- Ability to work overtime as needed to support the business
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years prior experience 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 2 years prior experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Previous experience in tooling maintenance repair or a related field
- Relevant certifications or training in maintenance repair or a related field
