Position Highlights:
The Durham Outpatient Center (DOC) Pharmacy is located on the main Nebraska Medicine campus. Nebraska Medicine is able to offer a unique pharmacy work experience that provides opportunities for pharmacy technicians that cannot be found in a traditional pharmacy setting including Meds to Beds pharmacy automation and caring for complex patients. Responsibilities of a pharmacy technician include prescription order entry (data entry and claims adjudication through McKesson EnterpriseRx software) working alongside pharmacists while triaging/assisting patient phone calls delivering medications to discharging patients and dispensing prescriptions to traditional patients seen in our clinics.
There is opportunity to pick up other pharmacy technician shifts at our Hub Pharmacy and our other family of pharmacies.

Saturday and Sunday 8-4:30PM
Templated to work every other weekend Saturday and Sunday 8-4:30 PM

Pharmacy Technician (Retail)- Casual:
Prepares and dispenses medication upon receiving prescription from prescribers and processes all related duties under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 18 years of age required.
Ability to attend and successfully complete 160 hours of on the job training required.
High school education or equivalent required.
Ability to complete moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand held calculator required.
Licensed Nebraska pharmacy intern or registered as a pharmacy technician with the State of Nebraska Board of Pharmacy required.
If registered as a Pharmacy Technician certification within twelve months ofregistration daterequired.
Preferred Qualifications:
Work experience which demonstrates analytical ability judgment and interpersonal skills in pharmacy or healthcare preferred.
College coursework in pharmacy preferred.
Ability to type 20 wpm (with error correction) preferred.
