Associate Appian Developer (Entry-Level)

While this role is technical in nature please note that it is not a traditional software engineering position.

Appian is looking for an Associate Application Engineer to develop large-scale internal applications that support Appian employees around the world. In this role you will become an expert on our software working directly with internal stakeholders throughout the entire life-cycle of projects to define design and implement business process based solutions.

This role is based at ourheadquartersinMcLean Virginia. Appian was built on a culture of in-person collaboration which we believe is a key driver of our mission to be the best. To be successful in this role you need:

• To leverage experience in a range of critical process improvement disciplines including business process management knowledge management personalization business intelligence and application integration on the Appian platform

• To utilize a varied skill set and experience to construct implement and deploy process-centric business process management solutions based on Appian software

• To analyze a clients business strategy their business processes and develop technical solutions to support their business strategy

• To design prototypes model business processes and analyze requirements

• To implement quality assurance plans load testing and roll-out plans

• To triage and troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support to various business applications

• To have excellent communication skills and a solid foundation of or passion for technology

Basic Qualifications:

• B.S./B.A. in Engineering Computer Science Information Systems Mathematics or a related technical field.
• Experience with cloud computing technologies like AWS.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for AI-driven innovation.
• Professional English proficiency
• Exceptional communication and customer management skills (verbal/written)
