Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Cloud Platforms team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

Operational Support for public cloud technology solutions primarily focused on the AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
Obtain and maintain an in-depth understanding of AWS and Azure public cloud technologies to ensure all appropriate options are considered to support business initiatives.
Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for Project Managers Developers and Engineering teams to resolve technical obstacles and improve the products vision.
Work closely with multiple Project Management and Software Engineering teams on understanding ways to improve IaaS and PaaS service offerings.

What you need to have:

Public cloud operations engineering with extensive industry-specific experience.
AWS or Azure public cloud experience in an operational capacity. AWS or Azure Certification is nice to have strong experience with a desire to complete certification will be considered
Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) including but not limited to core IaaS (IAM VPC EC2 S3 EBS ELB) and native AWS PaaS Services (Lambda AWS Config EMR Athena EKS etc.)
Hands-on experience with Azure public cloud including core (compute storage networking) platform PaaS and IAM offerings.
Infrastructure experience (Server Administration Networking Storage Security)
A commitment to best practices and striving for the elimination of manual operational processes to promote a DevOps oriented software delivery model.

What makes you stand out

Prior experience implementing enterprise cloud management platforms.
DevOps/coding skills in Python 3.x CloudFormation Terraform GitHub Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Experience with REST APIs to support integration of infrastructure cloud and PaaS technologies.
Experience with web-based applications and/or web services-based applications.
