About the Role

The Accounts Payable Supervisor supports the Customer Service and Master Data teams working within East Midlands Services where the overriding standard is one of efficiency and customer service. The Finance Service Centre based in Loxley House Nottingham serves both Leicestershire County Council and Nottingham City Council with their transactional finance. This post is a recognised expert in a specialised field and provides advice and support to colleagues and Departments. To be pro-active forming close working relationships with customers having knowledge of the Procure to Pay end to end processes. To support the FSC Team Leader in the general management of the team.

About You

To apply for this post you must:

  • To research and maintain expertise within a specialised area of knowledge in Customer Service and Master Data to provide help support advice and guidance to services and team members ensuring compliance with statutory and non-statutory obligations legislation regulations current business processes procedures and controls.
  • To be responsible for supporting the team in handling day to day queries and escalations ensuring time sensitive tasks are actioned and that the appropriate level of support is given to other team members to handle more complex queries within expected timescales.
  • To be responsible for providing daily statistics to AP Team Leader to monitor daily and monthly operational tasks.
  • To be responsible for contributing to and recommending changes and improvements to develop the level of service provided by the team to the customers.
  • To be responsible for supporting the training and development of job specific skills and knowledge for team members in liaison with the AP Team Leader.
  • To support on testing as required for new systems and processes including UAT of new technology upgrades and developments.
  • To support the AP Team Leader with general supervision day to day task allocation and monitoring team performance.
  • To deputise for the AP Team Leader in their absence.
