What you will do:
As the Short-Term Planner-Minor for Emeco you will be responsible for ensuring asset reliability in conjunction with the Rental Maintenance Planning Program for the weekly and monthly scheduling of major component replacements. Your role will involve coordinating with different departments ensuring resource availability and aligning equipment schedules with operational needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Create and maintain a 2-week maintenance planto ensure equipment availability and integrity including labour parts services and tools needed using the CMMS system (AMT).
- Lead a weekly & daily planning meetingswith the site team to review the upcoming weeks tasks get approval from the Site Superintendent and evaluate the previous weeks progress using Power BI compliance reports.
- Review and schedule the forecast for major component tasksprovided by the Central Long Term Planning team and organize required minor parts labour resources (e.g. cranes) and logistics.
- Work with the execution teamto handle breakdowns procure parts and recommend repair scopes for MEC components.
- Ensure statutory requirements are metby coordinating with service providers to complete tasks on time and maintain compliance.
- Order partsthrough the Procurement team for major and minor work scopes including PM Service kits ahead of the scheduled onsite dates.
- Schedule Condition Monitoringwork orders raised by the Central Asset team and provide feedback on completion.
- Estimate job requirementsfor breakdowns considering the monthly budget and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Notify the Central Asset Teamof early failures and possible warranty issues providing all necessary information in the CMMS (AMT).
What we need from you:
- Qualification in a mechanical trade (HME) degree qualification in planning or management highly regarded
- Experience maintaining heavy mobile earth-moving equipment (CAT Hitachi Komatsu)
- Proven experience in maintenance scheduling and planning preferred
- Previous experience in a CMMS System and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge and understanding of equipment productivity drivers in mining customer operations and equipment usage.
- Effective organisational time management and forecasting skills with ability to meet deadlines and deliver results.
- Ability to work in our Gunnedah office Monday Friday.
