Job Summary
As a Facilities Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance repair and optimization of building systems and equipment to ensure a safe efficient and comfortable work environment. Your role is essential in supporting the day-to-day operations by keeping facility infrastructure running smoothly and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills a proactive approach to problem solving and experience with various facility systems.
Job Responsibilities
Perform regular maintenance and inspections on facility equipment and systems including HVAC electrical plumbing and mechanical components.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to building systems such as HVAC units lighting power distribution and control systems.
Repair or replace faulty components including motors sensors switches valves and wiring.
Maintain accurate records and logs of all maintenance activities and repairs.
Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to coordinate repairs and minimize facility downtime.
Assist with installations upgrades and modifications of facility systems and equipment.
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols environmental regulations and company policies during maintenance and repair work.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to facility management and maintenance.
Job Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical electrical or facility management preferred.
3 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related technical field.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals schematics blueprints and work orders.
Fluent in English (written and verbal) sufficient to understand safety procedures work instructions and company policies.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
Familiarity with HVAC electrical distribution plumbing pneumatic systems and control systems such as PLCs is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Willingness to work flexible hours or on-call shifts as needed.
Reliable attendance is essential to support ongoing facility operations.
Compensation Range
The compensation range for this position is between $26.00 -$32.00 per hour.
