Job Description
St. Vincent Pallotti is a coeducational college preparatory school of 430 students with a diverse student body located in the historical district of Laurel MD. In 2021 Pallotti celebrates over 100 years of providing Catholic education to Laurel and the surrounding regions. As a school our strengths are our family-like atmosphere and our commitment to providing the widest possible array of curricular and extracurricular programs in a small school are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable person to join our Science department for the 2025-26 school position consists of teaching both Biology and Chemistry classes along with a possible elective course in Anatomy and Physiology or five sections of High School Science most likely to include Biology and Chemistry (College prep levels)A self-starter with the capacity to build relationships and engage students parents staff and colleaguesStrong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to establish trust and credibilityCulturally competent with the versatility to work with a diverse group of studentsInitiates directs and evaluates learningImplements the content and curriculum effectivelyGuides students in applying knowledge and skills to new problem solving situationsFamiliarity and competency with learning management systems (such as Plusportals and Google Classroom) and encourages the use of technology in the classroom.
