Are you interested in working on a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the design of structures across the state of Michigan As a statewide specialist in the MDOT Structure Design Section you will have the opportunity to use your knowledge of structural engineering to design the most complex bridge projects across the state. This position also serves as the project manager for projects and will provide you the opportunity to lead the team responsible for delivering projects designed by the Michigan Department of Transportations (MDOT) bridge consultant partners.
As a member of one of MDOTs bridge design units you will have the opportunity to grow your knowledge of structural engineering principles gain experience with structural design standards and contribute to the success of a team. Education
Possession of a bachelor of science degree in engineering.
Experience
Four years of professional experience equivalent to a Transportation Engineer including two years equivalent to a Transportation Engineer P11 or one year equivalent to a Transportation Engineer 12 or Transportation Engineer Licensed 12.
