As a key member of the Youth Engagement team this role will support the successful implementation of youth-led and youth-focused initiatives that advance social change both locally and globally. Reporting to the Manager the Specialist will play a lead role in delivering core programs such as Girls Belong Here while also contributing to strategic initiatives including the READ project the Global Youth Influencers group and youth communications such as newsletters and stakeholder updates. This role requires someone who can work both independently and collaboratively across multiple projects providing both strategic input and hands-on execution to ensure high-quality outcomes. The ideal candidate is passionate about meaningful youth engagement adept at managing relationships with diverse stakeholders and highly organized with the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Girls Belong Here Program Support (60%)
Project & Operations Management Application & Selection Process Activation Support & Post-Event Engagement.
Operations and Coordination (20%)
Manage travel logistics for all Team PLAY youth and staff and vendor management.
Business Development Donor Stewardship and Partnerships (10%)
Broader Youth Engagement Programming (10%)
Proven experience leading youth-focused initiatives that engage diverse groups of young people across Canada with a strong understanding of intersectionality and anti-oppressive practices in youth programming.
Deep knowledge of Canadas youth engagement and leadership ecosystem along with insight into how youth programming can support global citizenship and connect to PICs global work.
Strong organizational skills with project management experience particularly in complex projects involving large cross-functional teams ensuring deadlines are met and quality outcomes are achieved.
Experience facilitating youth programs designing workshops and developing resources for both in-person and digital delivery.

Plan International Canada is a hybrid workplace. You will work from the office and from home.
The salary range for this position is anticipated to be between $50000 and $62000. We comprehensively evaluate a variety of factors to determine fair compensation including experience specific job-related skills and relevant educational or professional training. Additionally we ensure that compensation is equitable across our team and aligns with current market trends. This role also qualifies for an extensive benefits package and generous paid time off.
