Shipyard Facilities Assurance Officer

We are currently seeking an experiencedShipyard Facilities Assurance Officerfor our consulting services and Integrated Work Packages.

If successful in securing a role your work may involve:

• Contract Management Serve as the primary contact for all facilities-related contracts (security landscaping waste management maintenance and projects) ensuring compliance with agreed terms and shipyard requirements.

• Facility Assurance & Governance Develop and implement assurance plans audit protocols governance frameworks issue registers and escalation pathways to support integrated operations.

• Budgeting & Financial Management Manage the DCE facilities budget overseeing cost estimation tracking and adherence to financial guidelines.

• Facility Readiness & Infrastructure Oversight Lead assurance for shipyard infrastructure (laydown workshops services security zones) ensuring proper design intent handover and commissioning while supporting DCE licensing and infrastructure scheduling.

• Decommissioning & Post-Project Planning Develop decommissioning strategies for assets and capital expenditures following ship one completion.

We are seeking candidates with defence industry experience in the follow areas:

• Engineering or Facility Management qualification (e.g. Civil Electrical Safety Security)

• Facilities Assurance & Compliance Expertise Proven experience managing infrastructure compliance programs within Defence shipbuilding or secure industrial precincts with a strong grasp of Commonwealth facility governance frameworks and Defence assurance regimes (DSPF DISP ISO 9001/27001).

• Leadership in Complex Environments Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional site teams in high-risk settings ensuring operational effectiveness and adherence to compliance standards.

• Stakeholder & Governance Management Strong stakeholder engagement and reporting skills particularly within Defence acquisition and sustainment programs driving effective communication and strategic alignment.

Our work is highly complex and confidential; applicants must be Australian citizens with a minimum NV1 security clearance. Additionally compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be necessary. In some cases this may impose restrictions individuals who are dual citizens permanent residency or former nationality of specific countries as outlined in ITAR 126.1.
