Job Description

Overview

UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting for a Family Medicine Advanced Practitioner to join our team in Bettendorf IA

UnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care walk-in care and specialty care. The clinical teams at the areas clinics are improving outcomes lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. The UnityPoint Clinic team is known for excellence and quality patient care putting patients at the center of their care to provide the best level of health and well-being.

  • Opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in an established and well-known clinic
  • Position will serve as an extender provider to all providers in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine clinics
  • Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy
  • Experienced staff both clinical and non-clinical who know the patients and the community
  • Full-time position including dedicated administrative time
  • Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities

  • Average of 18-24 patients per day; no nights or weekends
  • Shared telephonic call amongst the providers Triaged through MyNurse
  • Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
  • Specialty skills: looking for someone who is versed in and open to doing womens health but not required
  • Evaluates interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
  • Patient-focused friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • NP or PA
  • Board Certified
  • Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
