Job Title:
Clerk (Material Control Department)
Basic Purpose:
This position requires review of loaded production plan in MRP and requires the coordination of Service Parts/ Prototype requests to various service centers. This position will require that the person be proactive in communication with Planners Warehouse and Service Centers. Other Material Control/Warehouse Operations duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use RMMS and IPS to review Customer Service and Prototype requirements as requested by established SEWS Customer Service Centers and Supply Warehouses.
- Review of safety stock and targeted inventory levels. Meeting attendance and set up as required with vendors plants and focus groups.
- Strong communication with all warehouses and review of POs back orders forecast expedite requests or any delivery issues.
- Respond and maintain system trackers including but not limited to Smarsheets MPPs etc.
- Answer Customer Service Plants critical shortage sheets and inform of possible late deliveries that may cause manufacturing line disruption.
- Utilize excel to maintain and update Service Trial Matrix for various service centers. Request inventory from Material planners as well as follow up on delivery receipt and processing of inventory to respective service centers .
- Position will require clerical cross training in other areas as means of support depending on the needs of the company. This may include but not limited to clerical duties in shipping receiving MRO and Expediting.
- Support Material Control members as needed and other duties as assigned.
- Review of low excess and obsolete material for total inventory value review and issuance to Material Control.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years work experience in material/procurement and warehouse distribution field.
- Analytical written and oral/email communication required.
- Negotiating skills a must.
- Knowledge of IPS and WMS systems a plus but not required.
- English/Spanish Bilingual skills including excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized motivated team-first individual personality that can work under pressure.
- Proficiencies in Microsoft Office.
