Job Description
Physical Therapist Assistant Contract Role
Location: Philadelphia PA 19104
Duration: 3 months
Weekly Pay rate: $1520 - $1680
Schedule:
- 40 hours/week
- Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Clinical Duties:
- Review medical records to understand diagnoses precautions goals and treatment plans.
- Deliver direct interventions in individual or group sessions including gait training exercises and modalities.
- Treat patients in various clinical settings as required.
- Monitor and document patient responses to interventions; provide education on home programs especially gait training and transfers.
- Communicate patient progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Coordinate care tasks including communication with other providers and equipment tracking.
Professional Development:
- Maintain up-to-date clinical skills and knowledge through continuous learning.
- Participate in mentorship opportunities and pursue assigned clinical competencies.
- Attend relevant in-service trainings and professional development activities.
Administrative Duties:
- Ensure productivity and appropriate utilization of services.
- Participate in planning meetings as required.
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children families and team members.
- Pediatric experience required
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience required
- Valid Pennsylvania State License as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- CPR Certification (within 90 days of hire)
- Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
