Job Description

Are you someone who loves to dive deep into precision and process This opportunity is perfect for a Metrologist Technician eager to take ownership of quality measurements and dimensional validation across a dynamic high-tech manufacturing environment. Whether your background is in Zeiss PCDMIS or another metrology software your skills will be highly valued in a role that blends hands-on inspection problem-solving and technical collaboration.

As a key contributor to the quality and engineering teams youll ensure that forged and machined components meet tight specifications through accurate inspection setups and reliable measurement strategies. The work is varied the technology is advanced and your impact will be felt across multiple production linesespecially in aerospace and medical applications.

What Youll Do:

  • Set up and execute dimensional inspections using a variety of CMM systems and software platforms

  • Validate critical features on both tooling and final components across forged and machined parts

  • Analyze data identify discrepancies and communicate results clearly to engineering and production

  • Support calibration maintenance and verification of metrology equipment

  • Collaborate with programmers and quality engineers to improve inspection plans

  • Assist in troubleshooting measurement issues and developing best practices for inspection workflows

What Youll Need:

  • 2 years of experience in a metrology or dimensional inspection role

  • Familiarity with CMM operations and metrology software (Zeiss Calypso PCDMIS or other)

  • Solid understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret complex blueprints

  • Experience with mechanical measurement tools (micrometers height gauges etc.)

  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong communication and documentation skills

Whats Preferred:

  • Exposure to forged or aerospace-grade components

  • Familiarity with theoretical datums or non-standard GD&T scenarios

  • Cross-functional collaboration experience with CNC or quality engineering teams

  • Interest in expanding into CMM programming or advanced analysis
