Job Description
Job Title: Plant Quality Manager
Location: Franklin Park IL USA
Employment Type: Full-Time On-Site
Position Summary
We are seeking a Plant Quality Manager to oversee the maintenance and control of the plants quality testing and reporting systems. This role will support quality operations lead continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Quality/SPS Manager with customer quality issues and lead corrective actions.
- Support long-term strategy development for the Plant Quality Department.
- Manage daily tasks for hourly associates in quality operations.
- Develop coordinate and maintain quality testing and reporting systems.
- Facilitate training and support within the Quality Management System.
- Lead the Advanced Product Quality Planning Process (APQP).
- Drive continuous improvement to reduce variation and improve quality.
- Manage specifications test methods instructions and audit processes.
- Maintain quality records and documentation.
- Develop and implement best practices and provide training across shifts.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in science engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years experience in developing and maintaining quality testing/reporting systems.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
