Sensing Change part of Suffolk County Councils Adult Social Care is a specialist team providing support to individuals with sight and/or hearing loss across Suffolk. We offer a range of services including social work vision rehabilitation and specialist support with a strong focus on early intervention and prevention.
We are now looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Social Care Practitioner to join our professional and supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by using creative and person-centred approaches to help individuals maintain and enhance their independence.
Your role and responsibilities
In this role you will assess individuals with hearing loss in their own homes and provide tailored equipment and support to meet their communication and safety needs. You will play a key role in reducing isolation and promoting emotional wellbeing by helping people make the most of their residual hearing.

Sensing Change is a team within Adult Social Care Suffolk County Council. We provide a range of services to people with sight and/or hearing loss throughout Suffolk which include Social Work and Assessment Vision Rehabilitation and a Support Service. The aim of our service is to focus on early intervention and prevention enabling individuals to maintain and increase their independence.
