ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise all employees engaged in bartending and serving for a specific outlet.
- Review manifest and staffing levels to determine appropriate work assignments for the staff.
- Check with Cooks to determine menu changes substitutions or deletions for the day and notify staff.
- Investigate and resolve guest complaints or concerns in accordance with standard procedures.
- Monitor silverware and plate status and order items as needed with budget constrictions taken into account.
- Develop schedules to reflect staffing levels needed to give optimal guest service.
- Check out restaurant cashiers cocktail servers or other employees with cash drawers to ensure cash balances.
- Train new employees and update all employees on new procedures or policies.
- Conduct a physical inventory of bar ware and requisition replacement items as needed.
- Coach and counsel all employees when needed to reinforce department and company policy and procedures.
- Maintain a well-informed shift by conducting daily shift meetings.
- Department walkthroughs are done on a daily basis to assure cleanliness and all equipment is operational.
- Must be able to work various shifts and hours to include holidays and weekends.
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism when interacting with guests and co-workers.
- Have a basic menu liquor and wine knowledge. Be able to suggest and present wine tableside.
- Responsible for greeting seating and reservations per standards set by department.
- Assist all staff members to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
- Assist in all guest service area and public relations dissatisfied guests and special requests.
- Follow all safety procedures; maintain work area for a clean and safe environment.
