Job Description

We are currently seeking professional nurturing and energetic teachers at Kiddie Academy CTX. All teachers are responsible for general classroom management and supervision which includes the personal care hygiene and positive discipline of the children.

The Support Staff role is a vital position that requires a positive attitude creativity collaboration andmost importantlythe versatility to work in any of our classrooms with children ranging from 6 weeks to school age. Youll be a valued member of a passionate team of early childhood professionals who make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in our community every day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for helping prepare and implementing proprietary curriculum and assist in completing assessments and reports for the children daily
  • Helps and supervises children during all activities
  • Speak with parents and/or guardians during pick-up and drop-off hours
  • Counsels children when social academic or adjustment problems when they arise
  • Ensures that the appearance cleanliness andenvironment of the classroom are appropriately maintained and safe
  • Helps children with meal times and clean-up
  • Assistclassrooms ranging from young infant to school-age children in areas such as: paperwork daily notes student accident reports and attendance reports
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings academy events and parent meetings as requested
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position
  • Must be able to adapt to teaching in any of the Academy classrooms
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of OR must be in a high school work study program relating to the area of child care
  • Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Must be able to interact appropriately with students of all ages and skill levels as well as with parents coworkers and management
  • Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high
