Job Description
Heres What You Need
- Masters Degree in Mental Health Field required
- 2 years related experience in mental health field required
- LPC Licensed Professional Counselor upon hire required or
- LMSW Licensed Master Social Worker upon hire required or
- LCSW Licensed Clinical Social Worker upon hire required
What You Will Do
- Facilitates behavioral health transfers throughout the THR system and from other healthcare facilities. Documents cases accordingly and meets departmental metrics related to transfer times andreferral guidelines. Relays clinical information and facilitates doctor/nursereviews. Aware of exclusionary criteria. Promotes the THR Behavioral healthtransfer center to all potential transfer referral resources.
- Understands and complies with all regulations including but not limited to TDMHMR TDH CMS EMTALA and Texas Behavioral Health Marketing Act. Educates hospital staff/ team members regarding regulations as indicated. Understands legal statues relevant to voluntary and involuntary various forms and documents appropriately.
- Understands admission criteria for various levelsof care. Knowledge of community resources including public and privateresources for both psychiatric and chemically dependent patients. Communicatespertinent data to receiving provider.
- Collaborates/communicates/establishes credibility with ED physician admitting and consulting physician and all members of provider team. Seeks supervision as needed.
- Assumes responsibility for professional growth. Obtains required annual continuing education. Keeps professional license up to date.

Work hours: Full time nights (7p-7a) rotatingnights weekends and holidays
