Job Description
Our client a large Canadian based and head quartered residential real estate management firm is seeking a skilled full cycle Property Accountant to join their busy team. Please note the location is on Bloor St W (M8X 2X9) for consideration of your commute to their location Monday - Thursday remote Fridays.
Reporting to the leadership team your duties will include but not be limited to;
Prepare monthly reporting package for management/investors including:
- Preparation of the monthly reporting package including the Balance sheet Income statement Bank reconciliations Variance analysis Accounts reconciliations
- Monthly JEs of : Gross Potential Rent (GPR) revenue and expense accruals mortgages prepaids and fair market value adjustments
- Analysis of trends in financial performance
- Assisting with quarterly/yearly reporting packages and period/year-end audit packages
- Recording journal entries into Yardi
- Review coding of invoices to ensure accurate postings to the GL
- Prepare and maintain necessary continuity schedules
- Coordinate and compilation of annual operational and capital budgets
- Accounting schedules as requested for mortgage compliance and appraisal purposes
