We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Site Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of our construction sites. The ideal candidate will assist the Site Supervisor in coordinating tasks ensuring safety compliance monitoring progress and maintaining quality standards throughout the construction process.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in supervising on-site construction activities to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Coordinate with subcontractors suppliers and tradespeople to ensure a smooth workflow.
Monitor site safety and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of site activities including daily logs material deliveries and workforce attendance.
Support the Site Supervisor in scheduling quality control and issue resolution
Support in resolving on-site issues and escalating concerns to the Site Supervisor or Project Manager.
Conduct site inspections to ensure work is performed according to plans and specifications.
Assist in managing site logistics including equipment materials and waste disposal.
Communicate effectively with team members clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
Diploma or certification in Construction Management Civil Engineering or a related field.
13 years of experience in a construction or site supervisory role preferred.
Knowledge of construction methods materials and safety regulations.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software is an asset.
Valid drivers license and ability to travel to various job sites.
Working Conditions:
Primarily on-site work in varying weather conditions.
May require extended hours or weekend work depending on project deadlines.
Expectation to walk the job site daily to ensure smooth operations with team and sub-contractors.
Ability to work weekends as required.
