Job Description

About the position

The Student Information Data Manager and Enrollment Specialist is responsible for managing and analyzing student data within the Infinite Campus system. This role involves technical support functions data entry and generating reports to assist school administrators and staff. The position requires effective communication with various stakeholders and a thorough understanding of student accounting procedures and regulations. The position also assists the Head of School in designing and implementing enrollment strategies to meet annual enrollment goals. This includes communicating with families processing applications conducting the schools enrollment lottery system registering new applications and helping new and prospecting students.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the INFINITE CAMPUS system expert for assigned schools by entering summarizing analyzing and reviewing data for accuracy.
  • Administer INFINITE CAMPUS User Security for assigned schools coordinating with district personnel.
  • Manage generate and distribute student demographic scheduling academic progress testing and disciplinary incidents data.
  • Maintain records of student withdrawal from school including reasons and planned destinations.
  • Prepare periodic statistical enrollment/withdrawal reports.
  • Facilitate the transfer of student information between schools including records requests.
  • Access the Internet to review and/or download student information-related materials.
  • Provide information and/or training to co-workers and school staff on the use of PowerSchool and data applications.
  • Coordinate and oversee distribution of Parent Portal login information and ensure quality assurance of user IDs and passwords.
  • Work with various departments to accurately input maintain reconcile and report data to school system business owners.
  • Assure coordination of verbal and written information to district employees and Notary Services as requested.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Computers or related field.
  • Five years of experience as a Data Manager or related work experience directly related to a computer system requiring knowledge of entering editing and finalizing source data.
  • General knowledge of computers computer commands peripherals and various operating systems.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of attendance regulations and student accounting procedures as outlined in the N.C. School Attendance and Student Accounting Manual.
  • Sound knowledge of district enrollment practices and procedures.
  • Considerable knowledge of data management policies and procedures.
  • Considerable knowledge of word processing software spreadsheets and databases.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
  • Ability to apply independent judgment in correcting data errors or omissions.
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality regarding student information in accordance with federal privacy laws.
    • Thorough knowledge of relevent state policies processes and

    • General knowledge of HTML programming

    • Thorough skill creating and maintaining reports related to student
    • Thorough skill operating standard office equipment and related hardware
    • Ability to learn specialized software or equipment

    • Ability to develop and maintain user manuals related to software systems
    • Ability to direct and supervise the work of others
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff students vendors and the general public.

Nice-to-haves
