Job Description

St. Mary Academy Bay View seeks a full-time Pre-Kindergarten teacher for 3 and 4 year olds beginning in the 2025-26 school year. Successful applicants will work with faculty and staff to teach in our Early Childhood Program in support of the schools mission and curricular goals. The ideal candidate will bring a history of collaborative self-directed work to the early childhood team. This individual must have a deep commitment to the student experience and wellness and be adept at developing healthy relationships with students and their families. In addition to outstanding teaching ability the position requires expertise with the social and emotional needs of girls in this age group and the ability to balance the encouragement of academic excellence and intellectual growth with the importance of learning through play. Candidates must be committed to an all-girls education and Mercy and Responsibilities-Establish and maintain a healthy and trusting learning environment fostering nurturing relationships with students-Design plan and implement learning experiences for reading writing math social studies and science-Guide students in their social-emotional development maintaining expectations and support for positive and productive student behavior-Collaborate with team members and administration to keep multiculturalism and diversity as a priority of curricular work and curriculum development-Meaningfully integrate technologies into the classroom-Regularly communicate with families about classroom happenings and student progress-Update documentation of current curriculum instruction and assessment-Maintain records of individual student progress and achievement-Participate fully in ongoing professional development-Participate in the school community including faculty and committee work school duties and activities such as clubs and eventsQualifications-Bachelors in Early Childhood Education Masters degree preferred-Excellent knowledge of child development latest education theories and practices and current trends in education and professional development-Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience preferably Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten level-Experience integrating the use of academic technology into classroom teachingTO APPLYGo to and download the Teaching View Application letter of interest and resume should be submitted via email to EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: St. Mary Academy Bay View commits itself to maintaining a welcoming environment for all people and extends its welcome in particular to those who may be vulnerable to discrimination on the basis of their race color national origin sex religion disability age marital or parental status sexual orientation military status or other legally protected .
