Job Description

Overview
The Principal plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational environment and fostering the academic success of students within the school. As the chief administrator the Principal is responsible for providing educational leadership managing staff and coordinating the curriculum to ensure adherence to state and federal guidelines. This position requires a strong commitment to student achievement and community engagement while embodying the mission and vision of the school. The Principal also works to create a positive school culture ensuring that it is safe inclusive and conducive to learning. By collaborating with teachers parents and the community the Principal helps to promote an atmosphere of respect and responsibility. With responsibilities ranging from academic programming to budget oversight the Principal is vital to the overall success and sustainability of the educational institution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement school policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and assess student progress and academic performance.
  • Lead staff in setting educational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee curriculum development and its corresponding resources.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of teaching staff.
  • Manage budgetary constraints and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Foster a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and community stakeholders.
  • Coordinate professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Resolve conflicts and mediate disagreements among students and staff.

Required Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Education or related field.
  • Valid state Principal certification or licensure.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum design and pedagogy.
  • Experience with data analysis and interpreting student performance metrics.
  • Proven track record of successful staff management and development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain community relationships.
  • Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices.
  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
