Overview
The Pulmonologist Consultant MD DNB plays a critical role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of respiratory conditions that affect the lungs and bronchial tubes. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients with respiratory disorders.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as bronchoscopy pulmonary function tests and imaging studies.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Monitor and manage patients with chronic respiratory conditions.
- Provide expert consultation in multidisciplinary teams and case discussions.
- Prescribe and manage medications including pulmonary rehabilitation therapies.
- Conduct research and contribute to published findings in pulmonology.
- Educate patients and their families about lung health and disease management.
- Stay updated on advances in pulmonary medicine through continuous learning.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to improve patient care.
- Actively participate in department meetings and contribute to policy development.
- Supervise and train junior medical staff and residents.
- Respond to emergencies related to pulmonary issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external healthcare providers for comprehensive care.

Required Qualifications
- MD degree from an accredited medical school.
- Postgraduate DNB in Pulmonary Medicine.
- Board certification in Pulmonology.
- Valid medical license to practice in the respective state.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a pulmonology setting.
- Experience with advanced pulmonary diagnostics and procedures.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based treatment protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex patient cases.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
