Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone ensuring a positive patient experience
Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs recording medical histories and assisting with procedures
Accurately document patient information using e-clinical systems (such as eClinicalWorks Epic or similar EMRs)
Schedule patient appointments manage calendars and coordinate follow-up care
Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
Maintain examination rooms including cleaning stocking supplies and sterilizing instruments
Process laboratory specimens and perform basic laboratory tests
Handle administrative tasks such as filing faxing and managing patient records
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and office policies
Provide patient education and answer basic questions regarding medications procedures and care instructions
Office hours 9:30AM to 3:30PM
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA RMA or equivalent) highly desirable
Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office or clinical setting
Proven experience with e-clinical systems (e.g. eClinicalWorks Epic or other EMRs) is required
Excellent interpersonal organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
CPR/BLS certification preferred
Education
Medical Assistant with e-clinical experience
