Patient Demographics: Adults Geriatrics

Patient Volume/Census: 12/day (in hospital)

Admissions: Yes

Case Mix: Gastroenterology

FACILITY INFORMATION

No. of Beds in Department: 219 (hospital bed size)

EMR System: Cerner

Specialty Backup Available: Yes including RN NP anesthesia etc.

Support Staff Available: Full hospital support staff

Reason for Coverage: 24/7 ongoing coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Emergency privileges available within a week

Credentialing Timeline: Less than one week with clean file

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active PA license required IMLC accepted

Certifications: BLS ACLS

Other Qualifications: Proficiency in Cerner EMR

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide 24-hour gastroenterology call coverage

Manage inpatient gastroenterology consults and emergencies

Perform emergent procedures when required

Collaborate with hospital staff including RNs NPs and specialists

Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
