Job Description
RESPECs Data and Technology Services business unit (DTS BU) seeks a mid-level Systems Administrator to work with our Department of Energy (DOE) client. Hiring locations include: Albuquerque (Area) NM Roswell NM Las Cruces NM Carlsbad NM Alamogordo NM Clovis NM & El Paso TX.
- Maintains and administers an archive/backup/and disaster recovery solution/system on Windows Linux and Solaris using Bacula.
- Administers Microsoft Windows Linux and Solaris Servers including support of web servers file servers execution servers database servers document management server and software.
- Proficiency in accomplishing tasks via command line in Linux.
- Assists in managing Dell Linux clusters.
- Assists in maintaining and administering network connectivity between geographically separated client offices.
- Programs and manages network switches routers and firewalls.
- Maintains and provides monthly as well as special requested documentation pertinent to the set up and maintenance of computer systems and their software.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Must have a Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related discipline and 6 years of relevant experience. Or associate degree in computer science Information Technology or related discipline and 8 years of relevant experience. Or 10 years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience with administering and maintaining high-performance complex computer networks and legacy computer systems and software with NQA-1 QA requirements such as those associated with the DOE and WIPP projects.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- For candidates located outside of Carlsbad NM must be willing to travel to Carlsbad NM once a month to provide on-site support; on-site support subject to contract changes.
